I saw these woman plastering a traditional hut. I was walking through Vokasenzela, Lesotho. They use mud as a plaster and then make a design on it using the sides of their hand like in the photograph. For more information about my Lesotho trip see the journal: [link]
And the rest of the photographs: [link] Daily DeviationGiven 2009-06-13I had read about traditional hut construction in my anthropology classes but never seen an actual picture of it. Tradional Construction by *funkyjunky fills that void in a very classical and ethnographic fashion. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

If you've ever installed siding on a house, or even done some framing or drywall, you know how hardcore ANYTHING regarding artistic ambitions at a house-sized scale can be.
Especially with mud and concrete. That stuff will dry your skin out like no other.
